Privacy you can understand.

Your JSON is processed in your browser. There is no JSON upload endpoint.

What happens to a document?

Pasted JSON, JWT tokens, schemas, comparison documents, and local files are processed by JavaScript on your device. Formatting, validation, tree exploration, and search do not send document contents to a server. Downloading creates a local file; copying uses your browser’s clipboard permission.

What is stored?

The current document stays in this tab’s memory when you navigate between tools and guides. Reloading or closing the tab clears the application’s document state. Your browser may preserve a tab in its own back/forward cache. We do not automatically save documents to localStorage, IndexedDB, cookies, or a server.

Your light, dark, or system theme choice, indentation, and line-wrapping preference are stored locally under json-tool-theme, json-tool-indent, and json-tool-wrap. Clear your browser’s site data to remove it. Copied text and downloaded files are under your control and remain until you remove them.

Network requests

Your browser requests the pages and application assets needed to use the site. Internal navigation may request another page. The application includes no analytics, session recording, third-party fonts, or remote JSON processing. It does not automatically open URLs or images found inside JSON.

A hosting provider can receive ordinary request information such as an IP address, URL, user agent, and request time. That is distinct from uploading a document. Never place confidential data in a URL; guide links use only named public samples.

What this promise covers

This explains the behavior of this application. Browser extensions, clipboard managers, device backups, and compromised devices may access local information independently. No website can control those tools.

Keep your work

Copy or download a result before leaving. Browser-only processing does not mean permanent storage, and an unsaved-work prompt depends on your browser. The tools need JavaScript and their assets to load; reopening the site offline is not currently supported.

Changes

If the application gains optional persistence, analytics, or another network feature, this explanation should be updated before that feature ships.
