Prepare a readable JSON document for PDF export
JSON to PDF prepares a printable, formatted view of a JSON document. It is intended for human review or sharing a readable snapshot.
When should you use it?
- Attach a readable JSON example to a report.
- Print a configuration for review.
- Save a formatted copy using the browser’s PDF destination.
Example: prepare a printable JSON copy
The browser print dialog lays this formatted text onto pages; choose its Save as PDF destination to produce a file.
{"name":"Alex","active":true}{
"name": "Alex",
"active": true
}Use the print preview to finish the document
This tool validates and formats the JSON, then prepares a print view. Choose your browser print destination to save it as PDF. Paper size, margins, scaling, page headers, and pagination depend on that browser dialog. Check a page containing a long string and a page break before saving a report that someone else will read.
Keep JSON alongside the PDF when data must be reused
A PDF is useful for a review attachment or a readable record. It is less suitable for importing the data back into an application: line wrapping and page layout can interfere with copying. Include the original .json file when a recipient needs both a human-readable report and machine-readable data. The PDF workflow does not infer charts or a business report from arbitrary fields.
A readable copy for review or sharing.
Validate and format JSON, preview the exact text, then print it or choose Save as PDF. Number tokens and string contents remain unchanged.
Paste JSON
Use a valid document up to 1 MiB.
Prepare the view
Formatting preserves the source values and makes structure readable.
Save as PDF
Choose Print / Save as PDF, then select a PDF destination in the browser dialog.
How do I save formatted JSON as a PDF without uploading the file?
Paste valid JSON, prepare the formatted print view, and choose Print or Save as PDF in the browser dialog. The formatting happens locally, and the PDF destination is selected by your browser or operating system.
JSON text prepared for a review copy
json{
"requestId": "req-42",
"status": "ok",
"items": [1, 2, 3]
}The print view contains the readable JSON text. Check page breaks and destination in print preview before saving.
Can this page produce a styled invoice or a PDF table?
It prints formatted JSON for review. It does not design arbitrary PDF documents or convert the data into spreadsheet-style tables.
What should you check before using the result?
The site does not generate a PDF file directly. Pagination, fonts, and available destinations vary by browser; inspect the print preview before saving.
What the PDF contains
The print view contains the formatted JSON text. It is designed for reading and review, not for structured spreadsheet tables or arbitrary page design. Very long lines wrap, and pagination depends on browser print settings.
Privacy and limits
The JSON is processed locally in a browser worker. The site does not upload it. Printing and saving are handled by your browser or operating system; inspect the selected destination before proceeding.
